fireplace

matches, kindling, and firewood are available at curriers market, a local grocery store about 8 minutes from the house.

to start a fire, begin with some kindling and one small log. once it’s burning well, you can add more logs.

once the fire is going, keep the fireplace door closed.

ALWAYS STAY IN THE HOUSE WHILE THE FIRE IS BURNING.

pets

we are happy to host your furry loved ones if they are house trained, but we ask that you pick up after them outside, wipe their paws, and keep them off of the furniture. the area is very mindful about the wildlife. dogs should be kept on a leash at all times when outside. should any of the above rules not be followed we reserve the right to charge an additional $150 fee.

premium coffee

we provide a free sample of whole beans. you are also welcome to bring your favourite coffee beans over. all the equipment necessary to make a pour-over (including a grinder) or french press is available at the space. shadow lakehouse is equipped with a moccamaster pour-over machine — an iconic design since the 70s.

Originally released in 1975, these speakers were modeled after JBL’s renowned studio monitors, delivering rich, detailed sound with a deep, natural bass response. Featuring a 12-inch woofer, 5-inch midrange driver, and a 1.4-inch tweeter, they were designed for both professional and home listening, making them the perfect fit for the hi-fi room. Their muted gray casing, a custom finish, enhances the timeless aesthetic while preserving the legendary JBL sound signature, offering an immersive audio experience in the heart of nature.
