FROM OUTSIDE

lock: lift handle up, push the back arrow button — Nuki locks automatically.

unlock: enter code — Nuki unlocks, push handle down to open.

FROM INSIDE

lock: lift handle up, turn Nuki counterclockwise until it clicks.

unlock: turn Nuki clockwise until it clicks, push handle down to open.

handle must be fully lifted before locking — otherwise the deadbolt won't engage.

temperature control

The home has four zones — zones 1 & 2 downstairs, zones 3 & 4 upstairs. Each zone can be controlled independently from any thermostat. Tap the screen to wake it up, then tap the large temperature number and use – / + to adjust.

cooling
Set the mode to Cooling (snowflake icon) on the main thermostat. The system activates when your set temperature is above the room temperature. Recommended range: 18–26°C. Keep doors and windows closed — the house holds temperature well on its own.

heating
Set the mode to Heating (sun icon) on the main thermostat. The system activates when your set temperature is below the room temperature. Recommended range: 15–22°C. Upstairs tends to run slightly warmer than downstairs naturally, so you may want to set those zones a degree or two lower.

pets

we are happy to host your furry loved ones if they are house trained, but we ask that you pick up after them outside, wipe their paws, and keep them off of the furniture. the area is very mindful about the wildlife. dogs should be kept on a leash at all times when outside. should any of the above rules not be followed we reserve the right to charge an additional $50 pet fee.

there is a coffee machine, filters and beans for your use.

COFFEE EQUIPMENT IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. PLEASE HAND WASH.

there's a filtered water spout on the left side of the inside of the fridge.

towels

in our efforts to be as sustainable as possible, we ask that you try to be mindful about how many towels you use during your stay.

extras

foldable camping chairs, outdoor blankets, lake towels, lanterns and those are all located in the lockers in the garage.

fireplace

this is the most delicate piece in the house, and you are welcome to use it under a few important conditions. this is a special fireplace, so the usual fire rules might not apply as it only works with the right wood and a careful setup. please use the firewood, kindling, and fire starters provided if you plan to use the fireplace during your stay.

please make sure the fire is fully out before leaving the house.

cooking with induction

induction cooktops are safer, and do not burn food when it spills happen. but its a relative new technology. If you have any questions please contact us.
